Buildings in the environment

This Case Study was done by Year 4 children at Oldbury Park Primary School, Worcester, with their teacher Celia Smith and an artist in residence for a day.

The whole school was involved at the time in a number of activities designed to heighten awareness of conservation and environmental issues. This Art project focused attention on the immediate environment and lead to the children appreciating the variety of building styles in the area.
Mr Jon Williams the Artist in Residence, was invited to work with the children. His own work draws upon the environment for inspiration and it was felt his approach was particularly sympathetic to the aims of the project.
